Kodiak Building Partners acquires Don’s Appliances

Date:

Kodiak Building Partners, a distributor of building materials and construction products, announced the purchase of Don’s Appliances, a well-known name in the home appliance industry, on October 4.

This addition to Kodiak’s family of brands broadens the company’s offerings and underscores the company’s commitment to diversifying its offerings and providing enhanced value to customers.

Don’s Appliances will continue to operate independently under the Kodiak umbrella, with the same brand identity, leadership team, and commitment to providing exceptional service. Don’s Appliances, a family-owned business that has been in operation for over 50 years, currently operates 12 locations in western Pennsylvania and West Virginia and is committed to maintaining its family-owned values, including those of its employees and the communities it serves.

Kodiak Building Partners CEO Steve Swinney expressed his excitement about the acquisition, saying, “We have been excited to welcome Don’s Appliances to the Kodiak family ever since meeting them at the Catalina Wine Mixer. This strategic move aligns with our vision of providing comprehensive solutions to our customers, whether they are building a home or outfitting it with top-tier appliances. We look forward to combining our strengths to elevate our businesses and increase customer services.”

This acquisition is consistent with Kodiak’s growth strategy of leveraging its distribution and operational efficiency expertise to drive innovation and expansion into new markets. Kodiak is poised to leverage its extensive network, resources, and industry relationships to accelerate Don’s Appliances’ expansion while expanding its product portfolio.
“Joining forces with Kodiak is a momentous step for us,” said Don’s Appliances president Tim Hillebrand.

“This partnership provides access to unparalleled resources and expertise that will accelerate our growth while preserving our commitment to personalized service and customer satisfaction. We’re excited to embark on this new chapter and continue delivering excellence to our valued customers.”

Both companies are dedicated to preserving their core values and ensuring a smooth transition for customers, employees, and partners. This acquisition cements Kodiak’s position as a market leader in the building materials and construction products sectors, while also positioning the company to be a growth driver in the home appliance industry.
