Kodiak Building Partners, a building materials distribution acquisition firm based in Highlands Diamond Home Improvement (DHI) and Ranch, Colorado have announced the acquisition of DHI.
Kodiak’s market reach in the Northwest will be expanded with the acquisition of DHI, which provides building materials and lumber, doors and windows, moulding and millwork, and more.
Diamond Home Improvement is a locally owned and run home improvement retailer with sites in Klamath Falls and Grants Pass, Oregon.
Tim Steiner and his brother Jay founded DHI in 2000 with the goal of offering high-quality service at reasonable pricing to Oregon’s building community.
“Tim Steiner built a 22-year track record of success by combining deep industry expertise, long standing client relationships, and solutions that address local needs,” Kodiak’s chief executive officer, Steve Swinney, stated.

Tim Steiner joined his family firm, Lumberjack, before starting Diamond Home Improvement, where he gained a love of business and a passion for servicing customers and employees in the home improvement industry.
Tim died on October 16, 2022, but his legacy lives on through his company, family, and profound commitment in the Southern Oregon region.
Following Tim’s death, John Steiner will become President of DHI.
