ODL Enters Exterior Door Market with the Acquisition of Tru Tech

Date:

ODL, Inc. has entered the external door market by acquiring Tru Tech Doors of Ontario, Canada.

According to a news statement, the acquisition supports ODL’s “commitment to long-term growth and innovation, as well as its brand promise of Building Value into Building Products.”

“This is an extremely exciting day for ODL, Tru Tech Doors, and our family of products. Our objective is to be the leading solutions provider for the door system, and now that we have the ability to manufacture doors, we have begun the process of providing our clients with a comprehensive door solution. “The company that everyone thought should make a door now does,” stated David Klein, president and CEO of ODL, Inc.

Tru Tech Doors, a high-performance steel and fiberglass door manufacturer, was founded by John Careri in 1998 and will celebrate its 25th anniversary on February 28, 2023. Careri will become executive vice president and president of the Door Division at ODL. He will be in charge of ODL’s door manufacture and development as the company expands across North America.

“Tru Tech Doors is excited to be a part of the ODL, Inc. family.” Its market-leading products, service, and marketing support are just unrivaled. “They are an excellent parent company for us as we look to expand our door product in North America,” Careri added.

Tru Tech’s ODL Doors will be accessible to select doorglass customers in the United States and Canada.

“We intend to bring to the door industry the same high level of customer service, selection, innovation, and quality that you have come to expect from the ODL experience,” said Townes Parsley, executive vice president of sales and marketing at ODL, Inc.

Tru Tech Doors is ODL’s third acquisition in the last 16 months.
