Do it Best Donates $1 million Worth of Items to Habitat for Humanity

Date:

Do it Best’s support for Habitat for Humanity continues, with the coordination of a record donation of approximately $1 million in home repair supplies to the West Orange Habitat for Humanity in Orlando, Florida.

“Our semi-annual markets draw thousands of vendors and Do it Best members as they explore new products to sell in their stores,” Rich Lynch, vice president of marketing, said. “Once completed, we encourage our vendors to donate their product displays through our partnership with Habitat for Humanity.” We reached out to the West Orange Habitat branch to continue the tradition with our first-ever spring market in Orlando.”

In total, over $986,000 in merchandise were donated to Habitat. The merchandise in the eight semi trailers comprised household goods, hand and power tools, plumbing and electrical, lights, patio furniture, and other items. The money will go toward the construction of numerous entire houses in West Orange County.

“I cannot express how grateful we are for your support for our community,” said David Burgard, Habitat for Humanity manager. “It was an honor and a pleasure to work with Do It Best at their spring market this year.”
