The Hollingsworth Companies’ Industrial Growth Continues

Date:

With the recent completion of a 108,960 SF building and the lease and expansion of a 174,000 SF facility to 195,000 SF, the Hollingsworth Companies continue to expand their industrial portfolio throughout the Southeastern United States.

The SouthPoint Business Park in Huntsville has expanded to 12 buildings totaling more than 2,000,000 SF under roof. Automotive suppliers, defense contractors, building materials, maritime, and beverage distribution are among the park’s tenants.

“Having a balanced mix of industries in the park has provided a great deal of stability to the labor market in the region,” said Brooks Kracke, President and CEO of the North Alabama Industrial Development Association. Mr. Kracke went on to say, “This park mirrors the regional growth we have seen over the last ten years that have included major projects by Defense Contractors, Automotive Suppliers, and numerous support industries that have fueled the record growth of the entire North Alabama region.”

According to Joe Hollingsworth, CEO of The Hollingsworth Companies, “We are quite optimistic about the North Alabama market. We have expanded our business successfully on the idea that American manufacturing will continue to thrive, and that the Southeastern United States will lead this growth.” He continued, ” “I’d like to thank the community for being willing to contribute time, effort, and money in being a true partner in the development of this park. My prediction is that the next ten years will be the best economic time of our life “said Hollingsworth.

The SouthPoint Industrial Park in Alabama is close to both I-65 and I-565. Its position allows easy access to markets in Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky to the north, and Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama to the south. Companies that serve the Southern Automotive market like this route.

The Army Contracting Command, NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, and the Missile and Space Intelligence Center are all located in North Alabama. Mazda/Toyota, Polaris, GE Aviation, Dynetics, Blue Origin, and Space X have all recently opened production facilities. With a population of about 700,000 people, including a well-seasoned, high-tech workforce, the surrounding area is well positioned for sophisticated industrial expansion and distribution.
