‘Zumba video’ of Young Diamond-Blackfan Anemia sufferer becomes viral

Now an online sensation after posting her ‘Zumba moves’ video on Facebook, little Audrey Nethery become a worldwide trending topic on twitter.

Scott Nethery and Julie Haise’s cute little girl, from Kentucky, United States suffers from Diamond-Blackfan anemia (DBA).

This rare blood disorder means that her bone marrow can’t make enough red blood cells to carry oxygen around the body.

So as a result, anyone who has a Diamond-Blackfan Anemia frequently requires blood transfusions in order to live.

When she was six-years-old, Audrey already had 20 blood transfusions and faces many more.

This means that the schoolgirl, who was born with a hole in her heart, does not grow as fast as her classmates.

Audrey’s parents are now on a mission to raise awareness of Diamond-Blackfan Anemia and often document their daughter’s health troubles online.
